Cherry Pie…

Hey everyone,
This is my latest…my little cherry pie made from polymer clay.
I made this one in my jewellery class, and I must say I am quite happy with the way it turned out. I had to make the actual pie out of polymer clay, which is great to work with. And the three little cherries are just tiny beads managed to find.
I also made a pink pearl bracelet, simply because I was in a pink-ish mood and I like pearls.
I made the matching earrings which were a little harder to make but I managed it just fine.
You’re probably wondering why I made a pie? Well I was actually quite hungry when I was planning so I decided to make something that looked edible 😀

Anyway, after two weeks of work my little pie was born.
Hope you enjoyed it.

Keep Dreaming.

Alice in Wonderland.

“You’re thinking about something, my dear, and that makes you forget to talk. I can’t tell you just now what the moral of that is, but I shall remember it in a bit.”

A classic tale, filled with such magic and that incredible sense of childhood adventure, a story I doubt anyone could forget. Alice in Wonderland has been a favourite for a very long time. And generation after generation kids have loved Alice and that curious little rabbit. I am actually quite proud to admit that I have always been a huge fan of Alice. And with the release of the new movie I was absolutely edging to see it. You see in my opinion Alice in Wonderland is an epic tale that cannot be made with pictures, it has to be created in ones imagination. But everything considered they did a fabulous job. I loved it. I managed to find this adorable illustration of Alice and I hope you enjoy it. Until next time, The Dreamer

Hey everyone,
It’s been a while since my last blog and I was wondering if there was anything interesting enough to blog about. So while I was thinking I decided to get something to eat, and when I looked in the cupboard I found some pretty interesting things. Aside from delicious chocolate that drives me insane, I fund this packet of marshmallows. So I decided I was in the mood for marshmallows, it wasn’t until I opened the packet that I found that they were in the shape of ducks!
Now this isn’t really that amusing but at the time it had me in hysterics as I ate the poor little duckies heads.
Intrigued by this find, I searched through the cupboard and found more shaped marshmallows, rabbits, hearts and the plain old originals.
I hope you enjoyed this random little post as much as I enjoyed eating the inspiration 😛

Keep smiling xD

Hello again,
I’ve decided to dedicate this post to an amzing book I happened across the other day. It is by a very talented man by the name of Brian Selznick. The book is called “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” and is an absoulutely stunning book, that one can only place in a class entirely of it’s own. It is not only a captivating story, but is also told through visual means….drawings. The invention of Hugo Cabret contains over two hundred pages of beautiful original drawings by the author himself.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret is the story of a young boy who lives in a train station in 1930s, Paris. His father, a clockmaker, died in a museum fire under rather mysterious circumstances and Hugo is forced to live with his strange, drunken uncle who has the peculiar job of setting all the giant clocks in the station and making sure they run of time. Clocks are one of the main features in this book.
Now after a night of heavy drinking Hugo’s uncle disappears and Hugo is left with the job of ‘clock keeper’.
Now I do not want to give too much away in case any of you are planning to read it yourself. Which, I higly recommend you do.
Every page takes you deeper into the mystery, it is somewhat like a silent film that is absoulutely magical.
It is an amazing book, a masterpiece even, and I highly recommend that is you are interested that you read it. You wont be dissapointed.

Don’t stop dreaming (:

Home-made blingage :)

Hey everyone,
I was walking through a jewelry store just the other day and I spotted some really cool animal themed jewelry, and I was so excited to see the cheetah necklace hanging there. The cheetah being my favourite animal. I immediatly picked it up and was shocked at the price, so I decided to get a little creative and try and make my own. So I stopped off at Spotlight and searched through the jewelry section. They have a whole section dedicated to a brand known as the Global Nomads, which is quite an interesting brand. I absoulutely adore it’s unique pieces. Anyway I picked up a little brass chain and an adorable little pendant of a cheetah, and wallah! You have home-made blingage. I love the idea of wearing you’re favourite animal around you neck, it’s a little wacky, and also very unique.
I hope you liked it 🙂

Remember to dream magical dreams.
